The global professional services and turnaround consulting firm managing the Lehman Brothers Holdings bankruptcy has strengthened its European financial services group with the appointment of managing director Nils Melngailis (pictured), who joins from Parex Bank.
Senior directors Agnès Hugot and Jose de Ochoa and senior associates Heiko Logisch and Ardeshir Mistri also join the firm.

The fund management group’s wealth management subsidiary, Savoy Investment Management, is expanding its team in Stockport by hiring James Bowles.
He was previously responsible for new business development with the Anglo Irish Bank.
Niche Group
The investment company has made Nigel Little non-executive chairman with immediate effect, replacing Christopher Stainforth.
Earlier, Little was vice-chairman of Canaccord Capital and executive president of its UK and European operations.
Renaissance Asset Managers
Investment management firm Renaissance Asset Managers has hired Simon Fentham-Fletcher as director of portfolio management, private client group based in Moscow. Fletcher joins from Raiffeisen.
Barclays Corporate
The corporate banking division has strengthened its cash management team with the appointment of Ricardo Soto, Joerg Pinkernell and Ravindra Madduri to key senior roles.
Soto joins as head of international liquidity management, Pinkernell joins as global head of financial institution product management, and Madduri will head up Barclays Corporate solutions advisory function for corporate cash management across the globe.
Alexander Proudfoot
The operational improvement consultancy has appointed John Sharman to head its global procurement practice. Sharman joins Alexander Proudfoot following five years as a senior level consultant on operational issues, gaining experience over a range of industry sectors.
Prior to that, he spent thirty years at IBM, where he became global procurement practice executive.
