Mazars
The law firm has appointed a national head of tax in the UK: Tim Davies (pictured). He has been at the firm for four years, advising on a range of clients. He will now head up a practice of more than 200 professionals in tax. Previously, he worked at advisory firms
PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young and at HMRC. His appointment relieves Mazars’ senior partner David Evans, who had been acting head of tax.
Lombard
Gary Leitch has been promoted at the asset financier to managing director of corporate asset finance. Leitch has previously headed up specialised relationships at the firm. He will now be in charge of leading regional teams to develop existing customers.
Travelex
Travelex Global Business Payments has added two senior appointments: Andrew Wiseman and Nick Masterson-Jones.
Wiseman will head up global products and marketing. He was previously in financial services at Australia Post, one of Australia’s largest payments providers, and has also worked at John Lewis and American Express.
Masterson-Jones will join as chief information officer. He has worked across a range of roles in banking and risk management including roles at Vocalink, JP Morgan, UBS, Reuters and several other banks.
Trilantic Capital Partners
The private equity firm has appointed John Danilovich to its European advisory council. He was previously US ambassador to Brazil 2004-2005 and has extensive experience in Latin American economies and Africa.
His role on the council will involve assisting the firm in sourcing European deal flow. The council is chaired by Kenneth Baker, former home secretary.
Previously, Danilovich has also worked at the US Millennium Challenge Corporation.
ICMA
The International Capital Market Association has appointed David Senior as head of business development for ICMA’s executive education business. He will be in charge of running the business in conjunction with the ICMA Centre at Henley Business School, University of Reading, and will coordinate the roll-out of two new diploma qualifications.
