KPMG
Robert Mirsky is joining the financial services firm as head of hedge funds in the UK. He was previously managing director of investment consultancy Laven Partners, and has worked for Ernst & Young’s hedge fund practice in the US.
Mirsky, who trained as a lawyer in the US, is also the chairman and founder of Hedge Funds Care UK, an industry-supported charity that works to prevent child abuse.
Evolution Securities
The investment bank has hired Adele Thackray to work on investor relations within the corporate broking team. Thackray has extensive experience in pan-European equity research and sales, both in financial boutiques and investment banks including UBS.
PZ Cussons
The consumer goods group has formed a new beauty division, to be headed by current St Tropez chief executive Michelle Feeney. Ann Murray and Selma Terzic will also join the branch from PZ Cussons subsidiaries Sanctuary and St Tropez. The division will be based in Covent Garden from June.
Feeney has been with St Tropez since 2006 and before this spent 11 years at Estee Lauder as part of a 25-year career in the beauty industry.
PZ Cussons will operate as two divisions, UK and Beauty from 1 June, sealing the integration of the St Tropez brand.
Close Asset Management
The investment manager has appointed Ian Christie as business development director. He joins from Mountbatten Financial Management, where he worked as client services director for two years. Before this, he spent time at MetLife UK and Premier Asset Management.
Christie will be responsible for supporting independent financial advisers in northern England, as part of Close’s expansion in the IFA sector.
Lombard Risk
The management consultancy has hired Paul Tuson as chief financial officer. Tuson joined the firm in September and has previously worked for KPMG and Aspire Technology. He is a qualified chartered accountant, and has acted as CFO for three Aim-listed companies.
Also joining Lombard are Philip Stanning, who becomes group sales director, and new group marketing director Rebecca Bond.
