QATAR DEALS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Qatar signed a deal with Royal Dutch Shell to develop a $6.4bn (£4.1bn) petrochemicals complex in the Ras Laffan industrial city in the Gulf Arab state.
● 13 NOVEMBER
Qatar in negotiations to take a stake in an Arctic liquefied natural gas (LNG) project under development by Russian gas producer Novatek
● 30 OCTOBER
Qatar’s Rasgas extended a long-term deal to supply France’s EDF with up to 3.4m tonnes of liquefied natural gas a year for delivery to north west Europe.
● 10 OCTOBER
China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) , Qatar Petroleum International and Royal Dutch Shell signed a framework
to build a joint refining and petrochemical complex in China.
● 26 AUGUST
South Hook Gas Company signed a deal giving energy trader Trafigura access to spare import capacity.
