PWC GETS A RECORD NUMBER OF APPLICANTS FOR GRADUATE SCHEME
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is on track to receive a record 30,000 applications for its graduate entry scheme in the latest indicator of the strains in the British labour market. The firm’s graduate scheme – which has 1,200 places – has been inundated with expressions of interest, with more than 200 applications a day received.

UK companies will have to pump as much as £600bn into their pension schemes under a revamp of pensions regulation being considered in Europe, new estimates suggest. Steve Webb, pensions minister, last month attacked Brussels’ proposals to adapt capital rules being introduced for insurers, saying they would cost British industry £100bn.
