Lidl loses UK managing director after one year
LIDL UK managing director Frank-Michael Mros is understood to have stepped down from his post.
According to reports in Germany, where Lidl is based, Mros, who replaced Marcel Oosterwijk last summer, stepped down from the post last week. Lidl declined to comment yesterday.
His appointment was controversial as he was the previous boss of Germany where he had to stand down following a scandal after it was claimed the company collected and stored data on employees’ medical records.
Aldi, which in 2008 reported sales growth of more than 20 per cent in Britain, has also suffered upheaval after a sharp drop-off in the rate of growth.
In August last year, it parted company with Paul Foley, its UK managing director and a 20-year veteran of the group.
