Hunting shuffles the advisers
OIL services group Hunting has ditched Jefferies Hoare Govett as a joint broker, replacing it with Deutsche Bank.
The group’s decision is a blow for Jefferies, which had maintained that it would keep the majority of Hoare Govett’s broking clients following the switch from ownership by RBS. But the decision appears to have been made before the change in ownership. The fast-growing Hunting, which is led by chief executive Dennis Proctor, will keep Barclays as its joint broker.
Only a few weeks ago EasyJet dropped Jefferies Hoare Govett as a broker but there have also been some client wins since the merger, including Nordgold and Sirius.
