MP charged with assault
LABOUR MP for Falkirk, Eric Joyce, has been charged with three counts of common assault following his arrest over an incident at the House of Commons late on Wednesday.
Joyce, who was suspended from the Labour party yesterday, was bailed and is due at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 7 March.
Police were called to the Strangers’ Bar in the Commons following an alleged fight between Joyce and Conservative MPs.
