NoTW moves behind paywall
The UK’s best-selling Sunday paper News of the World moved behind an online paywall yesterday.
The tabloid is the third News International title to charge readers to view content online in a bid to counter declining print sales, after the Times and Sunday Times websites were put behind the paywall in July. Only the NOTW home page is still free, with the full site now costing users £1 for 24 hours or £1.99 for a month to access. The paper also plans to launch an iPad app costing £1.19 per week.
