Bank of England cuts growth forecast
The Bank of England has reduced its growth forecast for this year to 0.8 per cent from 1.2 per cent.
Officials attributed the cut to the ongoing problems in the Eurozone.
The rate of inflation will not fall as quickly as previously thought, and will remain above the government’s two per cent target “for the next year or so”.
