DC Advisory Partners
The corporate finance advisory firm has appointed Jack Dessay as an executive director in its technology, media and telecommunications team. He joins from Deutsche Bank, where has worked for the past six years. Dessay has also held senior posts at Citigroup, working from its New York and London offices.
KPMG
Charlie Patrick has been appointed KPMG’s new head of its anti-bribery and corruption practice. He takes over from Brent McDaniel, who is returning to the US. Patrick is a director in the firm’s risk consulting division and has been with KPMG for 20 years. He has over 15 years’ experience in forensic and accounting matters within the UK and abroad. He spent two years as a project manager investigating the fate of the assets of Holocaust victims.

The provider of outsourced fiduciary management investment services has appointed David Hickey as a director within its institutional group. Prior to joining the firm, Hickey spent the majority of his career at Barclays Wealth, latterly as head of UK and Ireland pension origination. He has also worked for PwC.
Northland Capital
Steven Baird has been appointed as a director in the investment bank’s sales and broking team. He has over 25 years’ broking experience, and started his career in UK equities at James Capel. He has since worked for Nomura and Societe General, and was one the first employees at Oriel Securities.
Kleinwort Benson
The private banking and wealth management firm has announced the appointment of Andrew Wheeler to the new position of executive director, business development within private wealth management. He joins from Absolute Fund Managers, where he was a partner and led development and marketing of its private client-focused hedge fund range. Wheeler has previously held senior roles at Deutsche Bank Private Banking and Dexia Private Bank.

Walter van Gent has been named as the successor to Dirk de Heer as head of UK risk and operations at the European fiduciary manager. He joins the UK team from MN’s Dutch office, where he has been team manager operations since 2008. Additionally, Ross Leighton has joined the firm, as UK risk and operations manager, from JP Morgan’s performance measurement team.

The accountancy firm has appointed Michelle Carroll and Neil Griggs as partners in its financial services team. Carroll joins from Kinetic Partners, where she managed its international audit practice. Griggs also joins from Kinetic, where he started as an audit partner in 2007.
