Going the Extra mile in Aspen/Snowmass
Going the extra mile is what Aspen/Snowmass is all about – both on and off the slopes. With four distinctly different mountains, over 5300 acres of terrain, and a town which has everything on offer from art galleries to international festivals and accommodation to fit every budget, Aspen/Snowmass is sure to be the perfect winter escape. And this season there’s a whole host of “extras” to take advantage of!
Four Mountains – One Lift Ticket
Spread over four mountains, the skiing and boarding in Aspen Snowmass is world class and suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders… And, even better, it’s all covered by one lift ticket. Once you’re ready to go skiing or boarding, free ski shuttles will whisk you to any of the four ski areas – Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands or Snowmass. Pre-purchase your lift tickets and equipment rentals through Ski Independence before you travel and we’ll give you up to six extra days free so that you can make the most of your time on the mountain! If you bring your kids and they’re aged 6yrs and under then they’ll ski for free too. Your lift ticket also provides you with the chance to take advantage of complimentary daily two-hour mountain orientation tours with Aspen’s awesome ski ambassadors on all four mountains; grab a coffee and granola bar at the bottom of the lifts whilst topping up your skin protection with some complimentary sunscreen, and get up there! If you’re up super early, snag some first tracks for free on Aspen Mountain and Snowmass by catching an early lift with Aspen’s ski pros (reservations and valid lift ticket required).
Where to stay?
Whether you’re looking for a slope-side condo or a boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Aspen, there are options for all budgets and the free extras don’t stop on the slopes! If you’re flying into Aspen Pitkin airport, many properties offer a complimentary airport transfer, whilst many also offer a free daily breakfast or après ski refreshments!
And there’s more…
If you still haven’t filled your boots with all the extras on the slopes and at the hotels, check out some of these amazing free events on offer during winter 2010-11: the Bud Light Hi-Fi outdoor concerts, ESPN Winter X Games 15, Aspen Winter-national FIS Alpine World Cup, or the mind-blowing Colorado Freeride Championships.
Aspen/Snowmass opens for the season on 25th November and will be celebrating one of its longest seasons ever, with Aspen Highlands open until 24th April 2011, meaning even more time to experience some of the most amazing skiing and snowboarding on the planet.
