New home for the Masters
SNOOKER: The Masters will move across London from current home Wembley to Alexandra Palace from the start of next season. The event has been held at Wembley since 1979 and the first Masters to be played at Alexandra Palace, which also hosts the PDC World Darts Championship, will run from 15 to 22 January. “Alexandra Palace is one of the iconic buildings in London,” said World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn.
“I’ve staged boxing matches there and the World Darts Championship which has been an enormous success.”
