Have TUI travel’s full year results met expectations?
JAMES HOLLINS INVESTEC
Despite concerns over the ongoing competitive threat of low cost carriers, online agencies and a resurgent Thomas Cook, Tui Travel is trading well into the winter season and has a sound operational base from which we forecast the group can deliver 2013 earnings growth.
NICK BATRAM PEEL HUNT
This was a good set of figures and ahead of our expectations. The performance in the UK was particularly strong. The only slight negative is that it is mainstream driving growth at this stage and not the more specialist businesses.

Recent share price strength implies that the market was expecting a positive message about growth and improved cash flow today: this has duly been delivered. We currently project 13 per cent earnings growth for the full year to 2013 to £555m.
