Hilary Ellis has been appointed human resources director at the private equity firm. She will also sit on the board of Alma Consulting, one of Arle’s portfolio companies. Ellis was most recently at Alstom, where she served as director of integration and change management.
PensionsFirst Capital
Hugo James has been appointed chief executive of PensionsFirst Capital. He was most recently at Credit Suisse, where he worked as managing director of fixed income. James has also held senior roles at Legal & General.
Ernst & Young
The professional services firm has hired four partners to its financial services advisory practice. Olivier Biteau joins from Investance Group, Pierre Pourquery joins from the Boston Consulting Group, Andreas Toggwyler joins from KPMG, and Steve Watson transfers from Ernst & Young Australia.

Mark Long has been appointed director of research in the investment management firm’s real estate team. He will oversee research, strategy and analytics for its UK property fund. Over his 20 year career, Long has also held roles at Invista and Aberdeen Asset Management.

The law firm has appointed Richard Martin as a partner in its property team. He was most recently a partner at Davies Arnold Cooper, and specialises in residential and commercial property transactions.

The private technology firm has appointed Robert Brooksbank and Richard Bourne-Arton as non-executive directors. Brooksbank is chief financial officer of Carclo, and Bourne-Arton is an entrepreneur and owner of UK Hydro.
