Freshfields
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, the law firm, has appointed David Trott as its new global head of finance. He currently serves as head of its London banking practice, and will replace Alan Newton. Additionally, head of restructuring and insolvency, Ken Baird, will become managing partner of the firm’s London finance practice.
Revetas Capital Advisors
Ian Jones has been appointed partner at the real estate investment advisory firm. He joined Revetas in February 2012 as chief financial officer, and will become its compliance and money laundering officer. Jones was previously head of real estate at Langham Hall UK, and has also served as finance director at Topland, Antler Property Group and CHP Group.
PwC
Richard Parkhouse has joined the professional advisory firm following the acquisition by PwC of PRPi Consulting, the company he founded. Parkhouse has over 30 years’ experience in human resources consultancy, and focuses particularly on the healthcare, airline, distribution and financial sectors. He has also previously served as global head of human resources at Baring Asset Management.
Insight Investment
Paul Lambert has been appointed head of currency at the asset management firm. He joins in September from UBS Global Asset Management, where he was also head of currency. Lambert began his career at the Bank of England, and has also held senior roles at Citibank and Deutsche Asset Management.
Hamptons International
Lesley Stringer has been appointed director in the property company’s residential development and investment team. She has over 20 years’ experience in the property industry, and most recently worked as a sales director at Redrow Homes. Stringer has also held roles at Anthony Green and Spencer Residential.
DLA Piper
The law firm has appointed Todd Martin Beutler as partner in its Hong Kong office. His private client practice focuses on tax, trust, estate and business succession planning. Beutler has over 15 years’ experience with firms in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Octopus Investments
The investment management firm has appointed Frederic Lardieg and Simon King to its ventures team. Lardieg most recently worked for Vodafone Ventures, where he was a principal. He has also held roles at Sony Ericsson. King joins from Imperial College London, where he was a research scientist in molecular electronics.
