Spurs narrowly overcome Watford
Tottenham yesterday defeated Championship club Watford in a friendly at Vicarage Road. The Hornets, who fielded ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, lost 1-0 due to a second half header from Jermain Defoe. The match was Watford’s Lloyd Doyley’s testimonial.
