Tax consultant by day – rock star by night
MUSIC fans in the City will already be familiar with ex-Bank of England MPC member and now PwC economist Andrew Sentance’s second career as a part-time crooner and bassist.
However Sentance is not the only evenings and weekends rocker in the Square Mile.
The Capitalist noticed an advert on website Gumtree calling for a new guitarist to play with rock band The Murder Act, an ensemble that includes Farrers tax solicitor David Quentin.
Quentin is in good company as a musician rocking around the Square Mile’s legal eagles. Blur drummer David Rowntree completed his training contract with law firm Kingsley Napley in September last year.
The Murder Act advert opens by announcing: “Our lead guitarist had to go back to the United States as his visa ran out and he can’t come back.” Shame that our musical man is a tax specialist and not an immigration one.
