The markets are very fragile at the moment. In this current economic climate I think markets are especially fragile and a political development like this causes a knee-jerk reaction.

I’m not as concerned as I was a year and a half ago because the fundamental market and economic data overall look better. Germany, Spain and the UK are better off than before.

I am quite concerned about the effects that this will have on Italy as well as the wider European Union. However, personally working in the UK, I am not worried about the impact on us here.
