The Capitalist has been bowled over by the respondents to yesterday’s offer of free tickets to this weekend’s Foodies Festival – a clear indication of gastronomic love in the City. They came in thick and fast, inspiring us to add a few more pairs of tickets to the pot. Assuming all winners will pop along, there’ll be folks from BNY Mellon, Panmure Gordon, ING, Royal Bank of Canada, Knight Frank and BP. Even a member of GSK’s anti-bribery department took time to throw their hats in the ring, just a few hours after the SFO announced its investigation into the company. Nothing should stand between a man and gourmet pulled-pork.
THE FIRST rule of B&M club is… don’t talk about B&M Club. Those invited along to yesterday’s B&M presentation were left a bit confused by having to sign an NDA (The Capitalist hears some were even put off from going at all by the intimidating form). Many whom we spoke to after the event were afraid to say anything at all for fear of breaching their new agreements. Turns out the forms were only making sure analysts put proper disclaimers on anything they published. Still, we all know what the second rule of B&M club is…
