Investec Investment Bank & Securities
The specialist investment bank has appointed Alison Watson to lead real estate research. She joins from Liberum Capital, where she was head of real estate research. Watson has also previously held roles at UBS Investment Bank and Matrix Group.
Irwin Mitchell
The law firm has promoted Chris Rawstron to the position of national head of corporate. He joined Irwin Mitchell as a partner in February 2013, and was previously managing partner at DLA Piper in Birmingham between 1999 and 2010.
Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research
Amaya Assan has been appointed senior investment research analyst at the investment consulting firm. She was previously a senior investment research analyst at Morningstar OBSR. Assan has also held roles at Greig Middleton and The Investors Partnership.
Allianz Global Investors
The investment manager has appointed Mark Guirey as director of UK institutional business development. He was most recently at BlackRock, where he was sales director within its UK institutional business. Guirey has also held roles at Rothschild Asset Management.
Allen & Overy
Jake Keaveny has been appointed partner in the law firm’s high yield practice in London. He joins from Cahill Gordon & Reindell in New York, where he has spent his legal career to date, focusing on US bank and bond deals.
Standard Chartered
John Cusack has been appointed global head, financial crime compliance, and group money laundering reporting officer at the bank. He joins from UBS, where he was group managing director and deputy global head of compliance.
Ashfords
The law firm has appointed Stewart James as a partner in its company commercial team. He most recently worked as a consultant to the Ministry of Justice, and was previously a partner at DLA Piper.
Collyer Bristow
Christopher Rennie-Smith has been appointed to the law firm’s IP practice. He joins as a full-time consultant, having completed a 15 year appointment at the European Patent Office in Munich.
