Miliband raps currency plans
LABOUR leader Ed Miliband is set to rub salt into Alex Salmond’s wounds today, telling an audience in Glasgow that the Scottish National party leader is letting his country down by failing to say what an independent Scotland would do without the pound.
“If you care about social justice… you can’t leave the economics to guesswork,” he is expected to say.
Meanwhile, a “Yes” vote for independence will break up the UK single market and in the short-term, says the Business, Innovation and Skills Committee in a report.
