The professional services firm has made several appointments. Jay Nibbe has been made global vice chair for tax. He joined the firm in 1985 and was mostly recently the chair of EY’s global accounts committee and deputy area managing partner for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. Uschi Schreiber (pictured) has been appointed global vice chair of markets, and chair of the global accounts committee. Schreiber sits on the Women in Parliaments Global Forum advisory board, and is active with the European Commission, World Economic Forum and B20 Task Force. She is also a founding member of the Worldwide Women Public Sector Leaders Network. George Atalla will take over her former role of global sector leader in the government and public sector practice. Atalla joins EY having been a partner and vice president at consultancy Strategy&.
Keystone Law
Rachel Hawkins joins the law firm’s insurance team. Hawkins, who is qualified in both Australia and the UK, has held senior roles at DLA Phillips Fox, as in-house counsel at a district council, and at DAC Beachcroft.
Civil Justice Council
Andrew Parker, partner and head of strategic litigation at DAC Beachcroft law firm, has been appointed as the solicitor member to the civil justice council (CJC). The CJC is responsible for reviewing the civil justice system, advising on change and procedural reform.
Norton Rose Fulbright
Lizel Oberholzer has been appointed director of the legal firm’s Cape Town practice. Oberholzer, an oil and gas lawyer, brings a deep understanding of the African market to the firm.
Adams & Remers
Caroline Roberjot has been appointed as partner at the law firm. Roberjot recently joined Adams & Remers from residential property specialists Charles Douglas Solicitors.
Holman Fenwick Willan
Jonathan Martin has been appointed partner at the law firm. He joins from Fasken Martineau and will be based in London. The firm has also appointed Ian Taylor as a partner in Sidney. He joins from Dibbs Barker.
