RWS acquisitions boost revenue
RWS Holdings, the intellectual property support company, yesterday said full year sales rose 12.5 per cent thanks to acquisitions and organic growth. The business, which snapped up PharmaQuest for £2.2m in may and spent a further £13m to take on the rest of Inovia in September, said sales rose to £77.4m for the 12 months ending September. Profits before tax arose 22.1 per cent to £21m. Executive chairman Andrew Brode said: “Notwithstanding any changes to global macroeconomic conditions, we expect to continue to make good progress in the current year as we realise the full benefit of 2013 client wins and the ongoing positive trends in worldwide patent application.”
