Luxury designer Louis Vuitton to pack its bags for King’s Cross
LOUIS Vuitton is to leave its headquarters on New Bond Street, Britain’s most expensive shopping thoroughfare, for new offices near to King’s Cross station.
The luxury fashion and handbag maker has signed a 10-year lease for 7,000 square feet in One Pancras Square, one of several schemes that form part of the wider 67 acre redevelopment of the area.
Separately credit card supplier Sav Credit has taken 7,000 sq ft in the Two Pancras Square, becoming the first financial services firm to take up space on the site which has so far attracted a wave of technology firms and other creative industries.
Google signed up earlier this year to build new £650m headquarters on the site. Yet it decided last month to delay the move by a year to 2017 in order to re-think plans for the scheme.
Louis Vuitton is expected to move its 40 staff shortly after One Pancras Square’s completion in 2014.
