Infrastructure investment firm John Laing hires new chief exec
JOHN Laing, the infrastructure investor and asset manager, yesterday said it has hired Olivier Brousse as its new chief executive, effective from 1 March.
Brousse, who joins from environmental services management firm Saur Group, replaces Adrian Ewer, who told the board last year that he planned to step down.
Prior to Saur, Brousse was deputy chief executive of Veolia Transportation, the largest private sector operator of multiple international transport services.
“We are delighted that we have attracted someone of Olivier’s calibre to succeed Adrian,” said John Laing’s chairman Phil Nolan.
“His outstanding track record at Saur Group and prior to that at Veolia, combined with the strong existing John Laing management team that he will inherit, reassures us that we will retain the solid platform that has delivered John Laing’s great success.”
Brousse said: “I look forward to working with Phil and the team to build on Adrian’s good work and take the business to its next stage of growth and performance.”
John Laing was listed on the FTSE 250 before being acquired by Henderson Private Equity in 2006.
