United and Blues rake in Euro cash
MANCHESTER United earned more than any other English team in central payments for playing in the Champions League last season, but Chelsea topped them when Europa League revenue was included.
United received £30.5m in prize money and broadcast income, while Chelsea made £26.4m from the Champions League plus £9.2m from their triumphant Europa League run – a total of £35.6m.
Arsenal pocketed £27m, while Manchester City earned £24.7m. The figures do not take into account money clubs made from tickets sales or other matchday revenue.
