Care comeback boosts England
ENGLAND head coach Stuart Lancaster has confirmed scrum-half Danny Care will be fit to resume training today, providing a small tonic to his injury headache ahead of next weekend’s opening Six Nations match in France.
Care injured his ankle in Harlequins’ defeat to Clermont Auvergne earlier this month and miss the weekend win over Scarlets.
But with eight senior players already sidelined, Care’s return will be a welcome sight for Lancaster, who has no fresh injury concerns.
“Danny Care’s hopefully going to train on Thursday,” Lancaster said.
“Other than that we actually came through the European week pretty well.”
