Virgin Money hires Deutsche’s Marilyn Spearing as non-exec
CHALLENGER bank Virgin Money appointed payments veteran Marilyn Spearing to its board yesterday.
She has been global head of trade finance and cash management at Deutsche Bank for the past six years.
Before that she spent more than a decade at HSBC as global head of payments and cash management.
And prior to that Spearing was in corporate roles at Barclays for 15 years.
Chairman Sir David Clementi said she will help launch new lines including credit cards.
“Marilyn has a wealth of banking experience and I am delighted that she has agreed to join the board of Virgin Money,” he said.
“Marilyn’s experience will be valuable to us as we continue to build the company, including the launch of our current account and the development of our credit card operations.”
