US deals hit 10-year high
WALL Street has enjoyed its busiest July for equity deals since 2003, according to figures released at the weekend that provide extra hope that the confidence has returned to the world’s biggest economy.
Last month 78 deals were priced on the equity markets according to data provider Dealogic, raising $14bn (£9.2bn) – a level last seen 10 years ago. A large part of the rise can be attributed to the growing number of IPOs, which are at their highest level since 2007.
