The asset finance provider has announced the appointment of Richard Hemsley as managing director. He was most recently at RBS, where he was chief logistics officer in its international banking division.
Speechly Bircham
Victoria Younghusband has joined the City law firm as a partner in its financial services and funds team. Younghusband specialises in advising alternative investment funds. She previously worked at SJ Berwin, where she was a partner in its investment funds group. Prior to that, she was a partner at Lawrence Graham.
Heartwood
The boutique wealth management firm has recruited Jeremy Croysdill as client director. He was most recently at Kleinwort Benson Private Bank, where he was head of wealth structuring. He was previously an in-house tax accountant at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
VTB Capital
Sunil Joshi has been appointed global head of cash equity trading at the financial group. Joshi has over 17 years’ experience in international equity trading. He joins from Otkritie Capital, where he was responsible for international equity markets.
Sidley Austin
The law firm has hired Matthew Shankland as a partner. Shankland was most recently a partner in the dispute resolution team at Weil Gotshal and Manges. He has previously acted for a number of financial institutions, including AIG and Kaupthing Bank.
Baker Tilly
Graham Ricketts has been appointed partner in the business advisory firm’s local audit and business advisory team. Ricketts joined Baker Tilly in 2004, and specialises in retail, media, and recruitment.
Eaton
The power management company has appointed Kurt McMaken as president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. McMaken joined Eaton in 2001 from PwC.
Reliance Mutual
The life assurance and pensions company has appointed Oliver Johnson as a non-executive director. Johnson was formerly chief executive of The Wine Society for seven years.
