ITV takes a controlling stake in Teen Wolf producer DiGa Vision
BROADCASTER ITV has taken a controlling stake in DiGa Vision, producer of US television series Teen Wolf.
ITV yesterday announced that it will make a cash payment for a 51 per cent stake in DiGa Vision with a put and call option to buy the remainder of the company in between three and six years.
The company said the acquisition represents: “another step forward in ITV’s strategy of building a strong international content business and is an important addition to the Group’s growing portfolio of production companies on both sides of the Atlantic.”
Teen Wolf is a reinvention of the 1985 film which is currently in its third season, and airs on MTV.
It is the latest in a series of acquisitions in the last 18 months that includes Gurney Productions, High Noon Entertainment, and Thinkfactory Media in the US, as well as UK producers The Garden and Big Talk.
