Coutts
The wealth division of RBS has appointed Donna Burns as managing director and head of human resources. She joins from The Renaissance Group, where she was most recently managing director and global head of human resources. Burns has also held roles at Goldman Sachs.
Barclays Corporate & Employer Solutions
The division of Barclays Bank has appointed Jonathan Parker to lead the development of its investment proposition. He joins from Zurich Corporate Savings, where he was head of corporate wealth investment strategy. Parker has also held roles at Towers Watson.
Ashcourt Rowan
The investment management and financial planning firm has appointed Gaius Jones as chief executive of its financial planning business. He has previously held senior roles at John Scott and Partners, and was an executive director at Towry.
Barings Asset Management
The investment management firm has appointed James Ross to the newly-created role of director of investment process. He previously worked at Alliance Bernstein, most recently as head of senior portfolio managers, global growth. Ross has also held sell-side research analyst positions at James Capel and ABN Amro.
RBS
RBS’s corporate and institutional banking business has announced three appointments to its financial institutions structured finance business. Nick Parkhouse will head the team. He joined RBS two years ago after previous positions at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Barclays Capital. Veronika Lovett and Michael Murray join as director and associate director respectively.
Bargate Murray
The law firm has announced the promotion of Adam Ramulgon to partner. He joined Bargate Murray in June 2010, and will now be responsible for developing the firm’s superyacht team, and managing its dispute resolution and commercial practices.
Pioneer Investments
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Nils Hemmer as head of wholesale and third party sales, Germany. He joins from Fidelity Worldwide Investments, where he has been head of insurance sales, Germany since 2008. Hemmer has also worked at ERGO Insurance and Victoria Insurance.
