BDO
The accountancy and business advisory firm has announced two appointments to its forensic accounting team. Gavin Williamson joins as a partner from Deloitte, where he specialised in complex, multi-jurisdictional fraud and corruption investigations. Cathie Cameron (pictured) joins as a director. She previously ran her own consulting business in the US, and has also held positions at Berkeley Research Group and LECG.
Deutsche Bank
The bank has announced two senior appointments. Richard Shannon joins as Americas chief information officer, and co-head of group technology and operations Americas. He previously worked for Goldman Sachs for 20 years, most recently as global head of web platforms technology. Scott Marcar joins as head of information technology infrastructure from RBS, where he was most recently chief information officer, corporate and institutional banking.
Grant Thornton UK
The financial and business advisory firm has appointed Andrew Vials as head of national assurance services. He joins from KPMG, where he was head of its financial reporting technical team.
Pinsent Masons
Tim Roughton has been appointed partner at the law firm. An outsourcing and technology specialist, he joins from Morrison and Foerster, where he was of counsel. Roughton trained at Masons.
MarketAxess Europe
The electronic trading platform has announced the appointment of David Wright as head of investor and dealer client sales. He was previously co-head of credit sales, Europe, Middle East, and Africa at RBS, and has also held positions at Evolution Securities, Morgan Stanley, HSBC and Lloyds.
Hargreave Hale
The stockbroking and asset management network has appointed Ben McKeown to its investment management team. He joins from Killik & Co, where he was a private client manager responsible for high net-worth clients, charities and trusts.
Direct Line Group
Simon Linares has been appointed human resources (HR) director at the insurer. He was previously group HR director at ITV, and has also worked at Telefonica.
