Frostrow Capital
The investment trust group has hired David Harris as marketing manager. He joins from Morgan Stanley, where he held associate positions in its FX corporate sales team and senior relationship management division. He began his career as a British Army infantry officer.
Julius Baer
The private bank has announced the appointment of Mazy Moghadam as a senior relationship manager in its London office. Moghadam has over 14 years’ experience advising high and ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and foundations. He was most recently senior relationship manager in Merrill Lynch Wealth Management’s Monaco office.
iShares
BlackRock’s exchange-traded funds platform has recruited Brett Olson as head of fixed income for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Olson has 15 years’ experience in structuring and marketing fixed income securities. He was previously at Nomura, where he was a managing director and head of an EMEA team.
MHA MacIntyre Hudson
The accountancy firm has made three hires. David Gibbs, who has been appointed tax partner, joins from PwC, where he was head of its south east private tax unit. Neil Berry joins as a tax director. Paula Jeffs has been appointed senior tax manager. She has over 20 years’ experience in tax planning.
Gulfsands Petroleum
Nick Slater has been appointed head of consultant relations for EMEA at the asset management company. He joins from River and Mercantile, where he was a partner and director in its institutional clients division.
Commerzbank
The bank’s corporate and markets arm has recruited Rob Scott as head of custody in its market services unit. Scott was formerly at Accenture, where he helped form its securities post trade utility. He previously held senior positions at Deutsche Bank.
VTB Capital
The investment bank has made two appointments to the fixed income division in its Singapore office. Ben Jones joins as head of fixed income sales for Asia from UBS, where he worked in private finance solutions. Vikram Shahi has been appointed head of multi product sales, and also joins from UBS.
