Greek bank in bond issuance
PIRAEUS Bank is the first Greek lender to return to the bond markets five years after investors locked the industry out in the wake of the financial crisis.
The bank wants to raise as much as €500m (£414m) and has hired HSBC, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs to tap up investors for the fundraising.
Piraeus said the move reflects the improving economic outlook.
