IBM to take over British-based cloud software company Daeja
IBM has bought out a Milton Keynes-based document sharing company for an undisclosed sum as part of its push into cloud computing.
The American software giant yesterday announced that it had snapped up Daeja Image Systems, whose products allow businesses to more easily view and access information from any location, regardless of where the original document or application is located.
IBM plans to integrate the company into its software group.
“The acquisition of Daeja will simplify how business data is viewed by department or line-of-business users,” said IBM enterprise content management business leader Doug Hunt in a statement.
Daeja boss Stu Moss said the firms have been business partners for more than a decade.
“With our combined strengths, we can help clients manage their data challenges and directly enhance IBM’s key market initiatives for big data, mobile, and content management,” he added in a statement.
