Hausfeld & Co
The litigation law firm has appointed Boris Bronfentrinker as partner. He joins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a senior lawyer in its cartel defence and commercial disputes practice.
Macquarie Securities
The institutional equities arm of Macquarie Group has appointed Brandon Krieg as managing director and head of electronic execution in the US and Europe. He was most recently head of sales at Knight Direct. Krieg has also held senior roles at EdgeTrade.
BNY Mellon
Paul Nobile has been appointed chief marketing officer of investment management at BNY Mellon. He was most recently chief marketing officer at Eaton Vance, and has held a series of marketing roles at Barclays Global Investors.
Standard Life
John McGuigan has been appointed customer operations director at the savings and investment company. He joins from Telefonica in Germany, where he was managing director and board member. McGuigan has also worked as chief executive of Telefonica Slovakia, and is a former chief executive of the NHS Health Board.
Mayer Brown
Greg Stonefield has joined the law firm’s corporate and securities group as partner. He was previously a partner in the corporate group at White & Case, where he focused on international equity capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
SP Angel
The investment bank has made two appointments to run its oil and gas investment banking team. Zac Phillips has worked in oil teams at Merrill Lynch, Ambrian, and Religare, as well as Dubai World’s oil and gas team. Richard Hail has previously held roles at JP Morgan and ABN Amro, and helped set up FirstEnergy.
Knight Frank
The property consultancy has appointed Emma Byrne as an associate in its West End agency team. She joins from CBRE, where she worked within its central London lease consultancy team.
