ICAEW
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales has appointed Liz Rylatt as executive director for finance, operations and members. Rylatt was a chartered accountant at KPMG before joining the BBC, where she was chief management accountant.
Coutts
The bank has hired Hans Prottey as a corporate finance specialist and executive director in its strategic solutions team. Prottey was most recently at Macquarie Capital, where he worked on corporate finance advisory mandates and principal investment opportunities.
Hermes
Sandy Pei has rejoined the company as a senior analyst for the Hermes Asia Ex-Japan fund. Pei was previously an analyst at Investec Asset Management. Before that, she was an analyst for Hermes Emerging Markets.
MetLife
Tom Gaynor has been appointed UK employee benefits director at the insurance company. Gaynor joined MetLife in 2011 from Unum, where he was a national account manager.
DUAL
The underwriting arm of Hyperion Insurance Group has recruited David Armstrong as development underwriter for the south east. He joins from ACE, where he was an underwriter in its directors and officers liability insurance division.
Mercer
The consultancy has announced the appointment of Richard Dell as global head of its equity boutique. Dell joined Mercer in 2008, having previously worked at Fidelity Worldwide Investments and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
Maitland
Laura Conaghan has joined the communications group as an associate partner. She was most recently a manager at Man Group.
ICON Corporate Finance
The business advisory firm has hired Baruk Pilo as senior vice president for mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He was formerly head of corporate M&A and investments at Cisco Systems in Europe.
