Postal service goes to the dogs
THE POST-IPO spike in Royal Mail’s share price may have the newly-floated company feeling bullish, yet it must now beware an unexpected pack of four-legged competitors approaching its turf.
With forecasters expecting a chilling winter, one courier firm has been trialling the use of trained huskies to deliver packages throughout the City.
The zealous hounds were spotted by some surprised commuters yesterday morning, darting around the Square Mile.
“CitySprint is planning for every eventuality to ensure presents are delivered on time, whatever the weather,” the appropriately-named company said.
Hopefully, if the dogs are hired, we last-minute Christmas present panic-buyers may have less to worry about this year. Mush mush!
