Universities Superannuation Scheme
The defined benefit pension scheme has appointed Jennifer Halliday as chief financial officer. She joins from Quaker Chemical Corporation, where she was global finance director. Halliday has also held senior roles at Vanguard, FMC Corporation, and Cheadle Royal Hospital.
Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking
Mark Burton has been appointed regional managing director of mid markets banking in London and the South at Lloyds. He was previously its regional managing director of mid markets in the North of England, and has also held senior roles at RBS.
Linklaters
The law firm has announced two senior appointments. Michael Bennett has been appointed global head of dispute resolution. He’s been a partner at the firm since 1998, and he focuses particularly on the contentious aspects of large scale M&A and joint venture disputes. In addition, Simon Price has been appointed partner in Linklaters’s London real estate practice. He joins from Herbert Smith Freehills, and specialises in structured real estate investments.
Northland Capital
Gerald Beaney has been appointed head of corporate finance at the investment bank. He was most recently partner and head of capital markets at Grant Thornton, and advises on fundraisings, IPOs, and M&A.
Cordea Savills
The property investment manager has appointed James Charlesworth as assistant portfolio manager to its UK investment team. He joins from HSBC, where he undertook a year long secondment in its global real estate finance team. Charlesworth has also worked in the valuation department at Savills.
RWC
Annabel Faulkner has been appointed head of marketing at the investment management firm. She previously held marketing and distribution roles at Pioneer Investments, and has also worked for Axa Investment Management and JP Morgan Asset Management.
Weber Shandwick
The public relations firm has appointed Dave Morris as director of change management, Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has previously held change roles at Williams & Glyn, the RBS divested bank, and Rolls Royce.
