The Cleggs show their cojones
WHEN Nick Clegg showed up to KPMG for the launch of Cityfathers yesterday, he presumably hoped he’d escape difficult questions. But having spoken about the importance of fathers taking paternity leave, the first question from the hall was relating to Cameron’s Christian country comments. “Ah here we go,” he said exasperated.
One of the next questions was from from his wife Miriam who put up her hand. “Now I’m terrified,” he grinned. “I hope you can all translate cojones,” he laughed to the hall when Mrs Clegg said City men who ask for paternity leave have more of them.
“She didn’t quite tell me she was going to do that,” he told The Capitalist afterwards. But his day certainly took a different turn, as The Capitalist hears he went on to an Easter egg hunt at Lancaster House.
A bit late for that, no?
