No excuses for loss, says Cech
CHELSEA goalkeeper Petr Cech insists there can be no excuses for the Premier League title hopefuls’ surprise 2-0 away defeat at Newcastle on Saturday.
Strong winds and rain made for tough conditions at St James’ Park, yet Cech said it should have been possible to break down the hosts.
“Apart from the wind, we can’t blame anything. The pitch was very good, very fast, and actually it was good to pass the ball, so this was not the reason why we didn’t win,” said Cech. “There are no excuses.”
