In Pictures: Camden overrun by giant toys
Anyone walking through Camden on any given day should expect to see weird and wonderful things but anyone strolling along its canal this morning would have got an eye-full – of toys. Giant ones. Staging a princess rescue. Natch.
The spectacle was all part of Playmobil’s 40th anniversary celebrations and as many a 40-year-old would, it hired a castle. Camden’s Pirate Castle was the fitting stage and local children got a chance to play with the 5ft tall figures.
We’re sure you’ve managed to do the maths but Playmobil was founded in 1974 by German, Horst Brandstätter and we can expect to see more of these life-size figurines larking about the UK over the next year.
