Kentz wins $190m Qatar Petroleum contract
Kentz Corporation, the holding company of the Kentz engineering and construction group, has been awarded an $190m (£117.9m) contract by Qatar Petroleum for work on around 775 wells across its Dukhan Oilfield in Qatar. (Release)
Kentz will deliver the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning for wellhead industrial control systems, alongside corrosion protection at the wells.
The contract will run until 2016 and builds on an existing relationship between the two firms. Tush Doshi, chief operating officer at the EPC Business Unit for Kentz, commented: "Kentz was awarded its first project with QP in 1997 and since then has continued to execute numerous EPC projects, engineering and enhancing QP's assets…The past year has seen a huge progression in our engineering offering as we implement our 2013 & Beyond strategy."
