Terry reveals spot-kick woe
SKIPPER John Terry yesterday used social media to express his disappointment at referee Phil Dowd’s failure to award Chelsea a spot-kick during their 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Blues were denied a penalty when former Fulham centre-half Chris Smalling appeared to drag Branislav Ivanovic to the ground at a first-half corner, while Terry himself also looked to be wrestled to the turf by Argentina defender Marcos Rojo during the same set-piece.
Terry signed off an Instagram post: “#JTandIVAgotdoubleheadlockedfromeverycorner”.
