City names join forces for new comms agency
THE FORMER PR chief of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and the ex-communications director of Heathrow Airport are teaming up to launch a new communications business, it was announced yesterday.
Andrew Wilson, who was head of group communications at Royal Bank of Scotland and currently at WPP, will join forces with former BAA-man Malcolm Robertson to launch Charlotte Street Partners in January. The firm will operate in London and Edinburgh.
Veteran director and former vice-chairman of RBS Sir Angus Grossart will become chairman of the business, with RLM Finsbury bosses Roland Rudd and James Murgatroyd also on the board.
Former journalist Chris Deerin will be a partner.
Grossart said: “The careful stewardship of reputation and relationships is critical for the resilience and success of all organisations, everywhere. We intend to bring market leading experience and strategies to bear in strategic, financial, crisis and corporate communications and special situations.”
