Bianchi family report progress
COMATOSE Formula One racer Jules Bianchi’s tentative recovery from life-threatening injury is tantamount to “running a marathon every day”, according to his father.
Bianchi, 25, has been unconscious since crashing into a trackside recovery vehicle at the Japanese Grand Prix in October. The Frenchman was flown home to be cared for by local doctors in November.
“This type of accident shocks more than an actual death. The pain is endless; a daily torture,” said Philippe Bianchi. “Every day, Jules is running a marathon. He’s moving forward, so we hope for a new evolution. The next one would be for him to get out of his coma.”
