Lord Smith of Finsbury has been appointed non-executive director at the energy recruitment consultancy. He is a former secretary of state for culture, and shadow secretary of state for the environment, and was chairman of the Environment Agency.
Simmons & Simmons
The law firm has announced the appointment of Paul Bugingo as a partner in its Africa group, and energy and infrastructure sector. He joins from Dentons, where he was partner and co-chairman of the law firm’s Africa committee.

Matt Ennion has been appointed investment director at the investment and wealth management group. He joins from Towry, where he was an investment director. Ennion has also previously held positions at Baker Tilly, RSM Tenon and Berry Asset Management.
Crowe Clark Whitehill
Phil Spary has been appointed director in the London office of the audit, tax, and advisory firm. He will work on its defined contribution pensions offering, and joins from The Pensions Regulator.
Salamanca Group
Martin Atalovic has been appointed associate in the merchant banking and operational risk firm’s real estate business. He joins Salamanca Group from AEW Europe, where he was part of its asset management and investment team. Atalovic has also held roles at Quinlan Private Golub in Prague.

The administration and technology solutions provider has appointed Philip Goffin as director of product innovation. He joins from Calastone, and has also held roles at EMXCo, FundWorks, and Kurtosys.

The firm of financial advisers has appointed Katrina Timm as operations and IT director. She most recently worked at the Co-operative Bank, and has also held positions in the estate agency and life assurance industries.
Marex Spectron
Carla Stent has been appointed non-executive director on the board of the commodities broker. She is a former chief operating officer of Virgin Group, and has also held roles at Barclays and Thomas Cook.
