Rose chalks up Classic victory
ENGLAND’S Justin Rose birdied the final two holes to claim victory in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last night and secure his seventh PGA tour title.
World No9 Rose carded 66 in yesterday’s final round at TPC Louisiana to post a tournament-record 22 under par, beating second-placed American Cameron Tringale by a single shot.
The 34-year-old has won at least one PGA title in six consecutive seasons, the second-longest winning streak on the tour behind Dustin Johnson’s record of eight successive victories.
